The APAL - Albufeira Promotion Agency has decided to award the status of "Honorary Member" to the Albufeira Volunteer Firefighters Humanitarian Association.
The decision, approved at the last Board Meeting, aims to recognize the valuable work carried out by this Association throughout the territory, essential for enhancing Albufeira as a safe and reliable destination.
Furthermore, the measure aims to facilitate the development of synergies between the Firefighters and APAL members, with the goal of establishing partnerships that result in training programs and preventive actions in terms of workplace safety and protection.
Representatives from APAL's Social Bodies symbolically marked this measure by visiting the fire station last Tuesday and distributing a "bolo rei" (traditional Portuguese cake) to each of the Albufeira Firefighters, in an initiative supported by the Epic Sana member.
According to Desidério Silva, President of APAL's Board of Directors, "partnership with local institutions is among our priorities, especially with the Firefighters who play a fundamental role in enhancing our destination." The leader further stated, "While it is important to raise awareness of these measures to encourage our members and the community at large to actively collaborate with this institution, it is also important to promote training and knowledge sharing among professionals in the tourism sector, in the field of people and property protection."
